| | A day after quitting TDP, its number two leader T Devender Goud is gearing up for launching a political party to fight for separate Telangana state.
As a prelude to his new role, Goud has convened a meeting here on June 28 to take suggestions from Telangana intellectuals and all the organisations involved in the statehood movement.

Popular Telugu comedian Mallikarjuna Rao died at a private hospital here on Tuesday after a brief illness. He was 56. Rao, who was suffering from Leukemia, was admitted to the Apollo hospital in the city couple of days ago. He was put on ventilator support and the end came this morning. Rao acted in over 370 films in a career spanning three decades and won praise for his performance in films like 'Ladies Tailor', 'Tammudu', 'Kanakamahalakshmi Dance Troupe', 'Hello Brother' and 'Aalapana'. |
